Emergency Services Volunteer Membership Application
Volunteering for a safer state
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) is a volunteer-based organisation that provides emergency assistance and support to the people of Western Australia. DFES relies on the compassion, commitment and community knowledge of dedicated volunteers.
These volunteers work with communities before, during and after an emergency, providing the support and assistance needed to help them prevent, prepare, respond and recover from emergencies.
Each of WA’s five core emergency services are supported by an association which provides support to all members and advocates on their behalf.
- Fire & Rescue Services (VFRS)

FIRE RESPONSE VEHICLE IDENTIFIER APPLICATION
Vehicle Control Points (VCP) regulate the flow of road traffic within the operational area.
To gain access through an Emergency Services Only VCP, private firefighting equipment must have a Response Vehicle Identification sticker.
These stickers are issued to eligible vehicles that meet the criteria. An application form requesting the issue of a sticker must first be completed, submitted to the local government and approved.
