The Shire of Irwin advises that the recycling shed has reached capacity due to the high volume of containers being received. To allow staff to safely manage and process the current volumes, bulk container drop-offs will be temporarily suspended until 10 November 2026.
Walk-in customers wishing to redeem containers for cash will continue to be accepted during normal operating hours.
New Bulk Drop-Off Arrangements
Due to increasing container volumes and to improve site safety and operational efficiency, bulk container drop-offs will now only be accepted Wednesday to Saturday between 7.30am and 11.30 am commencing Wednesday, 11 November 2026.
Bulk drop-offs will no longer be accepted on other operating days.
The Shire apologises for any inconvenience this temporary suspension may cause and sincerely thanks the community for their strong commitment to recycling.
