SKATE PARK & PUMP TRACK

Whether you are an intermediate or a pro, the Irwin Skate Precinct is the perfect way to spend your time outdoors.

The skate park boasts a skate bowl and street skate architecture amidst manicured lawns and landscaping with shade sails in the summer months.  Constructed in September 2020, the Irwin Pump Track is the latest addition to the Skate Precinct and is up there as one of the largest pump tracks in WA!

The Skate Precinct is accessible via Ridley Street, off Point Leander Drive or via Ocean Drive.

DONGARA DENISON DRIVE-IN

(*Kiosk is closed until further notice)

Movies at the Dongara Denison Drive-In are screened from September to May.

ANZAC MEMORIAL SOLDIERS

The Centenary of ANZAC 2014 to 2018 is a significant piece of Australian history, with the Shire of Irwin and the Dongara RSL commemorating the Centenary by commissioning 15 2D metal art soldier silhouettes as a visual memorial. The sculptures are designed to rust to a point which will create a protective surface and withstand the salt air.

You will find the soldiers where Richardson Rd meets Ocean Drive

IRWIN RIVER ESTUARY AND BOARDWALK

Take a stroll along the Irwin River Mouth Boardwalk on Ocean Drive and take in the views of the Irwin River estuary. A large population of water birds can be spotted here including pelicans, ducks, terns, heron, egrets, and cormorants, just to name a few.

PORT DENISON JETTY RUINS

Along the Port Denison foreshore lies the ruins of the old Port Denison Jetty that was constructed in 1867. Fantastic photo opportunity, particularly at sunset.  Fun fact about this historical landmark, during World War II a section was destroyed to foil enemy invasion, and when the jetty was deemed unsafe it was substantially destroyed with explosives in 1961.

FISHERMANS MEMORIAL OBELISK

The Fishermen’s Memorial Lookout and Obelisk was built in remembrance of all fishermen’s lives lost at sea. The lookout and obelisk provide spectacular views of the Port Denison Marina and beyond.
