In late 2024 the Shire applied for State Government funding to upgrade the Port Denison boat ramp finger jetty and to replace the recreational jetty. While the Shire were unsuccessful in receiving the full amount of funding, we were awarded $365,000.
In the spirit of reconciliation, the Shire of Irwin acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and operate and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
