Skate Precinct
Pump track
August 2019 – The Shire was awarded $250,000 through Lotterywest for the design and construction of the Pump Track as part of the Port Denison Skate Precinct.
After the finalised designs were made available to the community for comment, Common Ground Trails came on board for the final design review and construction. Check out some of the awesome work that Common Ground have been doing around Australia: Common Ground Trails Facebook Page.
June 2020 – Shire staff commenced demolition works and site clearance and Common Ground were onsite 22 June.
Saturday 12 September 2020 – the Irwin Pump Track was officially opened by the Hon. Laurie Graham MLC.
Skate Park
The Dongara Denison Skate Park, located at 225 Ocean Drive, Port Denison, is available for all to use. The Shire does advise that children under the age of 10 should be supervised by a responsible adult and protective gear should be worn at all times.
The Skatepark is unsupervised and all users do so ‘at your own risk’.
